A Dream Come True - # Chapter 8: Feeling Like Family

The next morning…

As soon as Sai goes to the office, he feels a little nervous about the presentation.

For the first time in the Chennai branch… He has to give a presentation in front of senior employees.

But…

This time there is some confidence inside Sai.

Maybe because of the positive feeling that entered his life after meeting Saranya…

The meeting starts. The projector turns on. Sai walks towards the stage.

Even though he feels nervous for the first few seconds…

Once the presentation starts, he goes smoothly with the flow.

Clear explanation… Confident voice… Professional communication…

Everyone listens attentively. As soon as the presentation ends… Claps are heard in the meeting room.

Even the manager feels proud.

“Good job Sai…”

He appreciates him. In that moment… For the first time, Sai feels his confidence in himself increasing.

The work in Chennai gets completed faster than expected. The team plans to return to Hyderabad.

But in the evening…

Sai receives a message on his phone.

From: Saranya — “Let’s meet at the beach this evening…”

Seeing that single message, an automatic smile appears on Sai’s face.

He goes to the manager and says, “Sir… I have some personal work… I’ll come directly to the bus stop at night…”

Since the bus timing is at 9:30 PM… He says he will return before that.

Evening…At Beach.

The sunset covers the sky in orange color. Sai and Saranya slowly walk beside the beach while talking.

This time their conversations become more personal. Sai starts opening up about his life.

Sai says --“I love photography very much… One day I want to have my own studio… Becoming a professional photographer is my dream…”

Saranya genuinely listens.

“You will definitely become one, Sainath… You have that talent… There is a positive feeling in your photos…”

She motivates him. Those words…Touch Sai’s heart deeply.

Suddenly…A thief comes running fast and tries to snatch the gold chain from Saranya’s neck.

Saranya screams in shock.

But…

Sai immediately reacts and catches the thief. A small fight happens in the middle of the beach.

Finally, Sai beats the thief and hands him over to the police patrolling there.

But during that struggle…A small cut happens near Saranya’s neck and bleeding starts.

With tension, Sai immediately takes her to the hospital. Treatment starts in the hospital.

Sai calls his manager -- “Sir… I won’t be able to come… There has been a small issue…”

He explains what happened. The manager says understandingly,

“Take care…”

Then Sai also calls Saranya’s family and informs them.

After a few hours…The doctor completes the treatment.

A Tamil nurse enters the room and smiles seeing Sai and Saranya.

In Tamil, she says “Sir… your wife is okay now… you can go home…”

Sai does not understand Tamil. He looks at the nurse with a confused face.

But…

Saranya starts laughing after seeing that scene.

“What did the nurse say…? Why are you laughing…?” -- Sai asks innocently.

Trying to control her smile, Saranya says --“Nothing…”

But…

After that moment…Love feelings for Sai start growing in Saranya’s heart. Protection… Care… Innocence… Respect…

All these together make Sai even more special to her.

That night…

Both of them go together to Saranya’s house. Saranya’s family also treats Sai with great respect.

That day…For the first time, Sai stays at Saranya’s house itself.

Lying alone in the room… Looking at the ceiling, he gives a small smile. Sai, who never believed in luck… For the first time thinks in his heart:

“Maybe… I am lucky too…”

After one day… A call comes from the office. They ask him to return to Hyderabad.

Saranya also says, “My leaves are over… I also need to go back to office…”

Both of them start their journey back to Hyderabad.

In the night bus… Seats beside each other. Cool breeze near the window… Low lights… Soft silence…

While the outside world keeps moving…Inside…Both of them silently feel like a family.

Truly…Exactly like how a husband and wife would feel.
